Conferences: Stories Past will be exhibiting at the Society for Historical Archaeology conference in Toronto in January. The Virginia Association of Museums and Tennessee Association of Museums conferences in March and the Society for American Archaeology conference in April.

Google Maps: Stories Past has created a free application using the new Google maps API for Flash. Click here for more information.

Conference Papers: Mark Freeman of Stories Past will be presented papers at two archaeological conferences recently. In October at the Archeological Society of Virginia conference in Martinsville, and later in St. Mary's City.

November: With the completion of the Rock Shelter module Project Archaeology is now adding sound. Audio files attached to all the modules will add rich multi-media as well as provide additional ADA support.

November: An exhibit at the Children's Museum of Oak Ridge is opened in November featuring an interactive "At Home in Appalachia". The module explores crafts and work using items from the physical exhibit. (see knoxnews.com) An on-line version will follow.

October: A new exhibit at St. John's museum in St. Mary's City in Maryland allows visitors to build a seventeenth century house, choosing materials, chimneys and other construction details. An on-line version will follow.

August: An update to Lynchburg's Old City Cemetery graves database includes thousands of additional records on its Civil War burials.

June: Work was completed on the Project Archaeology Plankhouse module. A further unit on Rockshelters will follow soon. Contact Projecy Archaeology for more information.
